I wish they'd stop trying to change things every few days. I'm all about progress, but not when the next step isn't any better than the last.
Bleh.

But to be fair though, Kinja is hardly the only offender here. YT has been doing this shit ever since Google took them over!
Just leave it alone PLEASE
Craigslist is the model here: virtually unchanged since 1995. Yeah there are some issues with CL, but they have nothing to do with the website design or layout. If it isn't broke, don't "fix" it

Exactly. If you don't like CL, you use SearchTempest. Same here. If they don't like the original layout, they could use third-party addons.

"[P]rogress for progress's sake must be discouraged, for our tried and tested traditions often require no tinkering." - Dolores Umbridge. Wow, never thought I'd find myself quoting that character in a serious, agreeing fashion.

The thing that gets me more than anything, though, is that surely kinja should cater to individual preferences and not shoehorn all it's blogs into the same design? Just look at tumblr and how many different layouts you can give your blog there.
There is something seriously wacked in Big Gawk's design department. And they're extremely stubborn.

True, buy my point is that I do like the layout, and most people like it as well. CL has even said they receive very very few complaints about it.

All they've done is match it up to the front page...

Which I'm afraid means that Oppo is just as hard to read and has the same miserable tiny photos as the front page.

Exactly... That's just why I stopped reading Jalopnik.
